How to install Kali Linux in virtualbox.
Hello guys, I'm here again with a blog for you but there's something new this time. So what's it? Is it some new stuff?Yeah absolutely, I never repeat a post. But the new stuff is some different topic. You're correct! This time I'm gonna discuss about Kali linux. So In this blog we are dealing with Kali VM. Soon some blogs dedicated to system install will come including Hackintosh but currently we'll focus on VM install. So let's dig in.
Kali Linux in Virtualbox.
What you will need-
Now let's start. First download the things mentioned above. Then install Vbox and flash the extension pack. Now we are ready to install kali on Vbox. Now open Virtualbox and create a new VM.
Choose whatever name you wish and choose type linux and version 2.6/3.x/4.x. Then click next.
Keep RAM 2 GB for better functioning. 1 GB will also do. Then click next.
Then create a Virtual Hard disk with VDI configuration.
Let it be dynamic and then create your VM. Now we need to set it up. So open settings.
Be sure to uncheck floppy here. Let the chipset be PIIX3. Then go to display. As for processor let it be default or 2 Cores if you want to.
Let the video memory be 64 mb. If you want to 32 MB or 128 MB then also no issues. Now go to storage and attach the ISO file you downloaded. Then go USB.
Set the controller in xHCI mode. Else your mouse and keyboard won't work. Then go to network and select NAT. Now click ok and exit.
Installation of Kali linux.
Now we need to install kali linux. So open the VM.
Go to advanced options and select Graphical install.
When the pop up comes select your desired Language. Here we'll doing it in English.
In next tab use a server name if you want. We'll be leaving it empty. Then take your desired hostname.
Then select your desired Password.

In the next step we'll have to do partioning. As we're doing it in Vbox we needn't to care about Disk. For the sake of ease select guided partioning and use the entire free space.
Then keep all the files in one partition. We don't need to separate any.
Now in the next step finish partitioning and write changes to the disk.
Now the installer will install the system............................................................................................
At the end it will ask you for Network mirror. Select no unless you don't know your mirror.
For Grub select yes. You can select no either. No issues there.
When installer finishes you will need to reboot. Close the machine there and eject the ISO file.
Yay! We're done! Here is our Desktop. Now you're good to go.
Regards......
