Companion guide to install MacOS in Virtualbox using a Mac or hack.

Hello guys, I'm here with another guide for you. This guide is dedicated to those users who have access to real mac or hack.Here we'll be obtaining an official copy of macOS Catalina for installation.So let's dig in. In this guide we'll be covering  the creation of ISO file. Then you'll need to follow other guide which I'll be linking below.

Prerequisities
  • A Mac or hack
  • MacOS catalina app file
  • A flash drive with space of 16 Gigs or more storage.
  • An internet connection.....(Obviously)
Now let's dig in.............................
Step 1
On your mac or whatever open the app store and get the MacOS catalina file.
Now click on get and it will start downloading. It will take some time depending on your internet speed.

When it finishes, we'll start creating our iso. Follow the commands given below......otherwise you can grab the script which will run the commands itself. Get it here. In this case run these commands in your terminal.
Else you can write these manually-
  • hdiutil create -o /tmp/Catalina.cdr -size 8500m -layout SPUD -fs HFS+J
  • hdiutil attach /tmp/Catalina.cdr.dmg -noverify -nobrowse -mountpoint /Volumes/Catalina
  • asr restore -source /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina.app/Contents/SharedSupport/BaseSystem.dmg -target /Volumes/Catalina -noprompt -noverify -erase
  • hdiutil detach /Volumes/macOS\ Base\ System
  • hdiutil convert /tmp/Catalina.cdr.dmg -format UDTO -o /tmp/Catalina.iso
You're done!!!. Now close the shell. Now we'll need a USB drive or data cable or whatever to transfer these files to you target machine where you're setting your VM up.
So get the flash drive and transfer the files to you target system.......................................

This time I'm gonna tell you how to install Manjaro in Virtualbox. So read the entire article and you'll understand all the important stuff. Let's dig in....... Here are a few things which you'll need. Manjaro ISO file.  - This is an arch based linux distro but has got different qualities. It has got a user friendly interface.
